How to spend a farewell to the old year, safe at home

COVID and the distance

We know that everything that is happening in the world as a result of COVID and other problems that directly affect us, including tremors, is not easy. That’s why so this Christmas have been well affected because we cannot share with our loved ones. We cannot go to them or they cannot reach us to avoid further spreading this deadly virus that has already taken the lives of many including family, friends and others. But unfortunately, we have seen how some people have chosen to risk traveling to share with relatives without being aware that they could be contagious or vice versa, infecting their relatives and worse, having caused the death of some.

That is why many more tools have recently been enabled to be able to share virtually with them for free and thus avoid contagions. Each tool has its pros and cons, but that will depend on each scenario in which it is applied. Here’s a list of the apps, how to get them, and the pros and cons of them.

  • Given the circumstances of everything that has happened in the media recently with Facebook privacy, it is important to take it into account if we want to have the meeting through this means. (Try not to share confidential information through this)

WhatsApp

Last but not least, the WhatsApp application created initially in 2009 and acquired by Facebook in 2014 is an application highly used by all types of users. Thanks to the fact that it is compatible with both mobile platforms such as iOS and Android and recently also in its web version, it has been welcomed by all. Here are the pros and cons of this:

Pros
  • Obviously almost everyone uses WhatsApp on their cell phones

We all fight this virus and with free and easily accessible video calling tools, we can contribute to the success of reducing infections.
